Today, long-time engineer, mentor, team member, and friend has reached a milestone in his life; retirement! Noble Burchett graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1978 with his engineering degree. He briefly worked for the Kentucky Department of Transportation before working 13 years for New Horizons Coal Company. From 1995 to 1999, Noble worked for the independent consulting firm, Johnson and Moore Consulting, in Lexington, Kentucky. In 2000, Noble continued consulting with Morgan Worldwide Consultants, which was later acquired by RE/SPEC, Inc. in 2014. While only working one year for Groff Engineering, he has been an invaluable asset towards the growth of our employees and company, and will be missed.
Noble earned his license in Professional Engineering in 2001 and has worked on numerous mining related projects in coal, crushed stone, sand & gravel, and dimensioned stone, to name a few. In his engineering career, he has always promoted integrity, fair dealing, tolerance, and respect. He has always upheld a strong devotion to the standards and dignity of the engineering profession, and maintained his obligation to serve the greater humanity by making the best use of Earth’s precious wealth. Noble has been an example and mentor to numerous young engineers entering the profession.
We wish Noble and his wife, Joan, the very best as he transitions to a new, and well deserved, phase in his life.
