The 2019 Kentucky Professional Engineers in Mining Seminar (PEM) is scheduled for September 6th at the Clarion Hotel Conference Center North in Lexington, KY. Those familiar with the seminar will recall that it is usually held at the Marriott Griffin Gate, next door to the Clarion. Unfortunately, when we selected the dates after the last PEM, the Griffin Gate was already booked. So, this is the next best alternative!
The agenda is posted and registration is available online.
In addition to many great presentations, Mr. Brian Groff, PE, will be providing an update for mining registrants who will report exploration results, mineral resources, and mineral reserves to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under the new rule S-K 1300. Since the 2018 PEM seminar, S-K 1300 was finalized and made law and another rule called the Simplification of Regulation S-K was made law. The Society for Mining Metallurgy and Exploration has been working diligently to provide advisories to its community, and the CRIRSCO annual meeting will be held in Washington, D.C. this year.
